Sentinel Intelligence

Here’s a new buzzword for 2023: Sentinel Intelligence.

Jessica Wildfire of substack Ok Doomer says people with sentinel intelligence “can aggregate and sift through extraordinary amounts of information in a very short period of time, especially when it comes to seeing latent or hidden dangers.”

If you have sentinel intelligence, you’re highly intuitive and attuned to the unconscious mind. You might sometimes seem obsessive or even socially abrasive to others. So in certain ways it can be both a superpower and at the same time a curse.

You also might be a lot like Cassandra of Greek mythology—a woman who could foresee calamities but was cursed by the Gods to be ignored.

That’s because most without sentinel intelligence tend to shrug off sentinels. Why? It’s complicated, but ignoring warnings can boost self-esteem and feelings of control. And if you’re not possessing of the same talent, it can be hard to believe.

Now, I don’t know if we should suddenly believe all perceived glimpses into the future. BUT, we could all learn to take the advice of qualified experts seriously. At the very least – consider their points of view.

As a recruiter, I meet experienced professionals across a number of industries, disciplines and stages of corporate development. Some with some amazing insight and this ability to “see around corners”. How about you?
