How many vacations do you deserve this year?
That’s apparently the question on a lot of people’s minds, according to Expedia, the online travel booking company that admittedly has a stake in the game.
Expedia, which runs a little something called the “Vacation Deprivation Study” (interesting name), claims the average American intends to take an extra 5 days of vacation this year.
And we all deserve it! (Right?!)
Out of the 16 countries surveyed, Americans took the fewest number of vacation days in 2020. But all that working from home was exhausting.
I work with a range of companies and people in various roles as a recruiter, and a common refrain I’m hearing again and again is “I need a break.”
No one does their best work while exhausted. I hope you got to take advantage of all your vacation or PTO time this summer — plus those 5 extra days!
